June 2015

H-18 was extremely proud to host the annual CBAA Convention & Exhibition from June 16th to 18th 2015. A whopping 657 attendees and delegates from all around the country attended the show, making it the biggest in years.

The enthusiasm of the participants, sunny weather, and great exhibitions came together to make this year’s event an absolute success. Highlights of the event included new educational stream for FBOs, many reputed speakers and an amazing static display of 22 aircrafts, including the all new Honda Jet’s first Canadian appearance.

Needless to say, this was the biggest Canadian display of the year. This year’s event was clearly memorable and the Hangar 18 family wasvery excited to be a part of it.

“No more minimums” is a new initiative designed for you by H-18. We are tired of minimums, aren’t you? January/February 2015 News:

The winter is coming along nicely, with our thermometers seeming to be stuck way below the zero point. In fact it is so cold, that we think all our thermometers must be broken! The hangar is filling up quickly, so please make sure to call us ahead of time to reserve a spot inside. Don’t have your aircraft suffer through this unbearable stretch of cold outdoors! However, our de-ice truck is all warmed up and ready to go whenever you need it – Someone even caught it on camera the other day! Check out the brief video of a DC-9 de-icing session: Watch the video here.

November News:

Winter is here and our team is ready. Our large heated hangar still has room available for your next trip into the Montreal area. H-18 clientele is growing very quickly and we are more than happy about it.

To thank all of our customers for their loyalty and for voting us #2 FBO in Québec in the annual WINGS FBO survey, we decided to keep going with the free crew rental car promotion* with any fuel purchase over 550 litres (150 USG) which is very popular since we launched it.

H-18 is proud of our ground service technician team and of all the work accomplished since the opening of our facility 2 years ago. The results of that pride are obvious; just in the past month, a Beechcraft 1900 and an Aerospatiale ATR-42 were added to the list of base customers.

In early November, a Bombardier Global Express crew visited us for the very first time and the comments from the captain are noted below. H-18 is working hard on constantly refining the service and facility, and our customers know it. Not only were we voted # 2 FBO in Québec, we also received the Rising Star award from WINGS Magazine, as the new up and coming FBO in the country. BIG projects are underway, stay tuned for the next update.

“Just wanted to let the management of H18 know that we had a great experience at CYHU on 12-13 of November, 2014. When we arrived on the ramp there were line personnel everywhere willing to help us in any way they could. Everyone was very professional and were very knowledgeable with their jobs, and they took great care of our aircraft! Also, everyone was very nice; service with a smile goes a long way. Great attitudes are always good to see, and your people had it! Several individuals that really stood out were, Daniel Waight and Annemarie Heikenwalder, as they were superb with our entire visit. We will be back......great FBO!”

December News: Hourly Ramp fees!

H-18 has experienced huge success with the October/November free ramp fee promotion and we are happy to count so many new companies to our customer base. We are very proud to have such a great team of employees, who always put the customer first. The captain of a Cessna Citation CJ2 who recently visited H-18 during the promotion stated:

“[…] When […] we [come back to CYHU] we will certainly pick H-18. Thanks […] for all your hard work. The hotel was great, the rental and limo service were fine and the young men who helped us out were excellent.” When the favourable outcome of this promotion became evident, a new idea was born. H-18 is proud to announce that we are the first FBO in the province of Québec to charge ramp fees by the hour!! Instead of charging you the same amount for a quick turn as for 13 hours on the ground, at H-18 you will be charged a much smaller amount per hour for the first 4 hours on the ground. Also, all of our ramp agents have recently completed a highly recognized, Transport Canada, FAA and EASA certified de-ice and anti-ice training course in time for the winter months. Our equipment, operated by our qualified staff, can handle any size aircraft up to most heavy business and commercial jets.  The course was conducted by Mr. Bryan Crabtree who works for one of the world’s largest and most respected de-icing companies. Contact us for more information, our customer service representatives are happy to explain to you how you can save – big time – by choosing H-18.

For a limited time only, H-18 will not be charging any ramp fees!!

That’s right!

To celebrate the launch of our website you will not be charged ramp feeswhen you visit H-18 between October 1st and November 30th. Make sure to stop in and check out CYHU H-18 during this time and see for yourself why Montreal’s newest FBO is quickly turning out to be the best FBO in town!

*Offer valid from 00:01LCL October 1st, 2013 until 23:59 LCL on November 30, 2013. You will not be charged ramp fees for the first consecutive 72h of your stay at H-18. Aircraft remaining longer than 72h will be subject to ramp fees.
